Dechen Tsel is a Tibetan Buddhist Nunnery of the Drikung Kagyu lineage founded by His Eminence, Garchen Rinpoche. Currently, there are 100 nuns living, studying, and practicing the Dharma at Dechen Tsel. The Nunnery is located at an elevation of over 12,000 feet in an extraordinarily remote area of Nangchen, China (aka Nángqiān Xiān) in Garchen Rinpoche’s home village of Gargon.
